Cara King is behind the business name Caratoons. Cara set up Caratoons more than twenty years ago when diligently producing cartoons and caricatures for clients.

 

Cara King has been drawing for many years and has illustrated books though Captain Honey Publishing, EK Books and many talented self-publishing authors. As a qualified book designer from a publishing background (Lonely Planet), Cara can help illustrate and set up your files ready for print.

Cara loves to work with watercolours, oils, pencil, digital and sometimes a combination of all. She occasionally hosts masterclasses and workshops and loves to share her drawing skills with kids. Cara lives in Melbourne with her husband, 2 sons,  chickens, a toy poodle, some bees and a school of fish. As well as working as a children's book illustrator, Cara spends a chunk of her week as a graphic designer for a global not-for-profit think tank.​
